A smooth, frothy matcha latte recipe that’s easy to make at home—better than the coffee shop and packed with clean energy. Includes iced version too.

  • Total Time: 5 mins
  • Yield: 1 serving

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tsp ceremonial-grade matcha powder
  • 2 oz hot water (about 175°F)
  • 68 oz milk (any kind)
  • 12 tsp maple syrup or sweetener of choice
  • Optional: vanilla, cinnamon, or honey for flavor
  • Optional: 3–4 ice cubes (for iced version)

Instructions

1. Sift the matcha powder into a wide mug or bowl.

2. Heat water and pour over matcha.

3. Whisk in a zigzag motion until frothy.

4. Froth or steam your milk and slowly add it to the matcha.

5. Stir gently and sweeten to taste.

6. For an iced version, pour the matcha mixture over a glass filled with ice cubes.

7. Add optional flavor boosts if desired.

Notes

  • You can use a mason jar, milk frother, or handheld whisk if you don’t have a bamboo chasen.
  • Adjust the milk and matcha ratio based on your strength preference.
  • Iced version works great with oat, almond, or coconut milk too.
