  • Author: Jack
  • Total Time: 10 min
  • Yield: 1 serving 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

A creamy, sweet, and earthy Starbucks-inspired matcha green tea latte that can be served hot or iced. Easy to make at home with just a few ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1½ tsp sweetened matcha green tea powder (or 1 tsp pure matcha + 1 tsp sugar)
  • 2 tbsp hot water
  • ¾ cup milk of choice (2%, oat, almond, or coconut)
  • Ice cubes (optional for iced version)
  • Optional sweetener like honey or vanilla

Instructions

1. Whisk the matcha powder with hot water until fully dissolved and smooth.

2. For hot latte: heat and froth the milk, then pour into the matcha and stir.

3. For iced latte: shake matcha and cold water in a jar, pour over ice, and top with milk.

4. Stir well and taste; adjust sweetness or milk to preference.

5. Serve immediately and enjoy hot or cold.

Notes

  • Use almond or oat milk for a dairy-free version.
  • Each Starbucks scoop of matcha contains sugar—using pure matcha gives you full control.
  • Want extra creaminess? Try oat milk and light ice.
  • For added nutrition, mix in collagen or vanilla protein powder.
