Description
A creamy and comforting matcha latte made without a bamboo whisk. This easy recipe uses tools you already have—like a mason jar or milk frother—for a quick, frothy drink at home.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 tsp ceremonial-grade matcha
- 2 tbsp hot water (160–175°F)
- 1 cup milk (oat, almond, or whole)
- 1–2 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
- ¼ tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- Pinch of cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
1. Sift matcha powder into a mason jar or cup.
2. Add hot water and shake vigorously (or stir with fork/mix using frother) until fully dissolved.
3. Warm your milk separately, then add to the jar.
4. Add sweetener, vanilla, or cinnamon if using, and shake or stir again.
5. Pour into a mug and enjoy immediately.
Notes
- For iced matcha, use cold milk and serve over ice.
- If using a blender, blend matcha and water first, then add milk and extras.
- Store matcha base (matcha + water) in fridge up to 3 days.
